Two weeks ago I had another opportunity to visit NYC. After a trip to Montauk, my husband and I took the Long Island Railroad to Brooklyn to visit our daughter and to tour the subway stops looking at the tile art works. We spent two half days on the subways mapping out the various stops to view and take pictures of the incredible tile works. Here are a few examples of tile works we saw. To learn more about the subway art you can scroll down to Subway Art Guide in the Photo Collection at: nycsubway.org
These pictures show part of the tile works and were viewed at the Times Square stop, 1st Avenue on the L train stop, and the 28th Street 6 Line stop. Some of these tile patterns will be incorporated into my next drawings.
